With an event coming up, naturally I wanted a new dress to wear, but I didn't want to spend much money. I thought I had hit the jackpot when I found this pink number for a mere $11, but it was too good to be true. Not only was the full-length skirt too formal, but I also couldn't get the zipper up! Determined to make it work, I removed the zipper, let out the seams to make it bigger, added a new zipper and hemmed it to a shorter length. With many a botched sewing project in my past, I was pretty proud of myself for pulling this one off!
