KansasCouture.com : Fashion for a Cause

Over the weekend, I had the pleasure of attending Fashion for a Cause , a local runway show benefiting Women's Health Services at Truman Medical Center . The featured Kansas City designers and labels offered an impressive breadth of styles, from cute, casual daywear to elegant evening dresses to bridal gowns. It was a treat to take in all the fabulous fashion and an inspiration to learn about the important cause the event celebrates and supports.

As for my outfit, I always want to wear a new dress to events. Instead of buying something, I donned this '80s number for the first time (as an...

I've really enjoyed posting more food related goodies with you here on S&P (did you catch the latest healthy dessert recipe from last weekend?), but for today's In the Kitchen feature - it's YOUR turn to do a little bit of sharing...

I'm very excited to be partnering with Lean Cuisine on yet another great Culinary Roundtable in a few weeks, and for this next event, we're talking all about one of my own daily eats:  leafy greens .  If you thought that the brand usually known for low-cal frozen meals (and recently, ...

Between several crafty client projects in the works and trying to get our house ready for a Spring photoshoot, It feels like nearly every time I have an idea, my next thought is - "But, can I do it myself?"  Surely not the worst thing in the world, but it has definitely been a reminder that for sanity's sake, it's ok to have someone "do it for you" every once in a while.

That said, any of the rope-inspired DIY's in today's Sunday Sprinkles would make for a great addition to the...

StyleAndPepperBlog.com : : Recipe // Roasted Blood Orange Ricotta Parfait

As happy as I am about starting to see spring produce gracing the aisles of our local market, I'm always a little sad to say goodbye to winter citrus. The beautiful blood oranges that we've had over the past few weeks have been incredible, and after realizing that I had eaten one as an afternoon snacks about a dozen days in a row, I decided that it was time to try and switch it up for something that tastes a little more decadent. This dessert is under 250 calories , and was the perfect thing to prep in the morning for quick assembly at a...
