The Style Guru: Love yourself first

Say 'I do' to you!

There comes a time, a place and a moment when that special someone pops up in your life and you just click. Wedding bells are on the horizon, and your lives are about to join forces very soon. Then again, some of us have become confident in not settling down quite yet. Recently, I have been doing a lot of soul searching. I'm in a transitional stage in my life, and I have noticed that I am ever-changing within all realms. I'm on the path to self-discovery: What is my true character? Who am I? What do I want to learn more about?

And I've realized, there are ways to say 'I do' to you. Let's be positive about this: I know the common fear is "I'll be lonely forever if I don't partner up now." False. Sometimes (well, always) we have to practice loving ourselves before we can spread our love to one another.

Why not speak your “vows” to yourself? And while you are making those promises, gift yourself. It never hurts to sport a little bling to remind yourself who you are, where you are at this point in your life and your commitment to honoring your truth.

The Fancies for your Finger:

1. Bellarri (above): Van Brock at Mission Farms. Simply exquisite! They have rare pieces that will surely fit your style and be a timeless addition to any outfit.

2. David Yurman: Tivol has many different styles and designers to choose from. Go with something that fits your personality. The best part of shopping for a ring to mark your own personal commitment is total freedom to choose!

Remember, even if you are on the path down the aisle this wedding season, there is something that I want you to strive to bring into the mix: Always, always keep your style. Never give too much of yourself away. "You" is a classic that should always be worn!

Your Style Guru,

xoxo
