Fashion and beauty experts gather in Kansas City in late February to talk about the changing landscape of beauty. Fashion Group International - Kansas City presents a panel discussion on Wednesday, February 27th entitled, “The Changing Face of Beauty” from 11 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. at Hotel Phillips’ Crystal Ballroom (106 West 12th Street, Kansas City, MO 64105, Mezzanine Level). The luncheon is held as part of Kansas City Fashion Week and sponsored by KC Magazine. This industry event features speakers Scott Butterfield – Trends Group Consultant for Hallmark, Ashley Nelson – Owner of Ashley Nelson Studios, Justin Callaghan - Owner of Evolve Hair, and Heather Holder – Spa Manager of Sunlight Day Spa. These business professionals will explore the influence fashion and beauty plays in the marketplace, and provides an overview of the beauty landscape and its ever changing face. Scott Butterfield reviews color trends and their influence on the changing face of beauty for upcoming seasons. Esthetician and spa owner, Ashley Nelson, shares her story of creating a custom blended, all natural make-up line and how this type of product is a growing trend in the market. She also discusses her role in developing a custom make up line for this spring’s Kansas City Fashion Week. Justin Callaghan examines the latest trends in hair including color, treatment, and how he manages coordination of hair and make-up for all of the runway shows taking place at Kansas City Fashion Week. Heather Holder explains the importance of a healthy skin regimen and massage therapy while also sharing the variety of health benefits from infrared sauna therapy available at Sunlight Day Spa.
