This house fascinates with a combination of modern interiors and easily recognisable exteriors that seem to have been constructed all at once. The suburban location of the residence makes it transform from a highly modern retreat into a comfortable and cosy family home. But looking beyond the imposing architecture of the house, you can see the inviting interiors that describe a relaxed living style and a passion for exceptional interior design. Copper, recycled jarrah and luxurious Calacatta marble were used to create the architectural language of this modern home – the renovations and additions allow the house to express its historic value without having to make this Hawthorn mansion unrecognisable. Architects from Iredale Pedersen Hook collaborated with interior designer Beatrix Rowe to create a stunning home divided into non-restrictive living spaces and displaying a charming atmosphere.
