Architecture is quite a bit of science, but it can be forgotten that it is also a creative art as well. We all know that creativity can run the gamut, and these beautifully bizarre buildings do just that. Take a look at a few buildings that will either make you look in disbelief or make you scratch your head. The Amertec Building (Hialeah, FL) Some say the Amertec building resembles a sleeping monster, built in 1967 by architect Chayo Frank, the building was designed and built for his family’s woodworking business. Quite an interesting office space for woodworking, don’t you think?
BOFFO Condos (Manhattan) To redesign four of the building’s apartments, BOFFO brought over 100 artists and designers to transform the apartments into ”a cutting-edge experiment in living.” This ”work living room” was designed by Ghiora Aharoni Design Studio.
Steel House (Lubbock,TX) Since 1974, artist and architect Robert Bruno has been at work on his home that is shaped like something between an animal and a machine. Approaching his home like a sculpture, Bruno builds on the fly and makes constant modifications. Could you imagine living in a home under constant renovation? What interesting architecture have you seen that caught your eye?
