| KarenMills.net : Interior Design: Top 3 Ways to Inject Spring Color into Your Space |
|
Has spring fever caught your or are you ready to breathe a little life back into your home to make it bloom? Here are 3 great tips to do it yourself! (Photo courtesy of homeandhome.com) 1. Curb Appeal – Introduce spring color into your front yard by repainting your door. Other options could include a spring wreath, a pot or two of bright flowers or a cheery pillow on your porch chair. 2. Accent your living space – Inject a punch of one spring color as an accent throughout your living areas by switching out pillows, floral stems (orchids, etc), or other accessories with lighter choices such as clear containers with fruit or candles to draw visitors into your space. Start at the entry, if possible, and don’t be afraid to add touches of white to lighten up the space. 3. Refresh your your windows, walls, floors, and bedding - Replace dark bed coverlets with lighter ones, paint an accent wall a spring color, replace wool rugs with lighter brighter choices such as sisal or cotton, or swap heavy drapes for lighter airy versions.
