Hello blog friends! I want to sincerely apologize for my lack of posting the past several weeks. Between a large-scale acquisition at work and wedding planning, I have been busy with a capital B. Speaking of wedding plans, I have really enjoyed all of the sweet comments and emails from you all regarding our engagement. It makes me feel so blessed and grateful for all of the support we have in our lives. We have settled on a September wedding, and it will be full of DIY ideas and projects, which I will share here, of course.  Since Justin and I will mostly be paying for the wedding ourselves, we have limited our extra spending. Unfortunately, this means we have cut back on house projects etc. Luckily though, I have a large Home Depot gift card coming my way thanks to credit card reward points, so we will be tackling a bathroom makeover starting this weekend. I. cannot. wait. for. it. I have been literally going stir crazy without a project to work on. This Spring, we will also be planning a landscape project for the front exterior. I am hoping to get some good ideas at the Kansas City Home Show and the Flower, Lawn & Garden Show next weekend.  And guess what.... I have two free tickets to give away to a lucky winner! Jennifer Bertrand, HGTV Design Star Winner, will emcee the Spaces Stage. Brian Santos, "The Wall Wizard"best-selling author ofPainting Secrets, Faux Finish Secrets, and Wallcovering Secrets,will give three presentations atThe Wizard's Workshop. This 25 year contractor, chemist and educator steps through the real science, magic and myths of decorating your home.Painting Secrets, his first presentation,is geared for the audience to learn the real tips, tricks and techniques of home improvement. Event Highlights ● Family Favorites - Wayside Waifs adoptable pets & The Bee Guy (Koelzer Bee Farm-Booth #5125) - working bee hives. ● Landscape and Garden Displays - Walk through a custom-built log cabin.
