Peter Gr_nauer has opened his namesake restaurant in the Crossroads Arts Districts historic Freight House. The Gr_nauer family also operates a popular restaurant of the same name in Viennas artsy Neubau neighborhood; the Austrian-inspired cooking features dishes such as traditional wiener schnitzel and Hungarian goulash, as well as other inventive dishes.

Schnitzel!I love the Wiener Schnitzel and Hefeweizen, and the atmosphere in the Freight House makes me feel like I'm actually at a restaurant in Vienna. The sausage combo is delicious, too, and the prices are definitely reasonable given the quality of the dishes. We had our wedding rehearsal dinner here in the upstairs room--it's a must if you have a big group. |
